Celebrating Collaboration: International Women's Day

Our team at Niibin Advisory Services has grown, and we’re proud to be a growing team of Indigenous women in a woman-led business.   One thing we’ve learned along the way? Small businesses need community too.

Collaboration has been at the heart of everything we do.  On this International Women’s Day, we want to take a moment to reflect on what it means to us.

For us, collaboration is about honoring the different skills we bring to the table, and sharing strength. We’ve seen the power of collaboration — especially in our facilitation and training. A great example is our work with YWCA Hamilton, where we collaborated with a team of women to develop and deliver education sessions for over 120 staff. While one of us spoke at the front of the room, our whole working group was actively creating a safe space to guide staff through learning and tough conversations.

We’re constantly inspired by the many Indigenous women we work with—leaders who are doing critical work and fighting for our communities. It’s an honour to walk alongside them, and we’re grateful to be part of a network of women driving meaningful change.

We’ve also been lucky to collaborate with other Indigenous women-led businesses who inspire us every day. ALL Professional Services, Elizabeth Fast Consulting, and Christine Goulais Consulting and Advisory Services have been incredible partners and mentors. Their support and wisdom remind us how much we all grow when we work together.

Chi-miigwetch to all the strong women we’ve worked with—we can’t wait to see what we build together next.
